The team resumed training after the Christmas break on the 7th of January 2019 and between then and now the team has been able to engage itself in some friendly but competitive matches against the likes of Dreams FC, Accra Hearts of Oak, Inter Allies, Accra Lions, the National U-20 team prior to their departure to Niger for the African cup of Nations, Heart of Lions, Thunder FC, etc. Although most of these matches didn’t end in our favor, we learnt some useful lessons from every one of them and above all it gave us the opportunity to critically asses our players and informed us as to who our first choice players should be for the various positions on the field of play as we approach the d day for the Normalization Committee’s special competition.
As the head coach of the team, I can confidently say that I know who my first team players are and if it is that I am going into a cup final tomorrow, I know the first team squad I will be relying on to do damage on the opponents for me.
Barring any last minute hitch, the team will go into its first match against Vision FC in the special competition put together by the Normalization Committee of the Ghana Football Association.
Team Jets, the darling boys of Ghana Soccer.
